The public institution Resource Center for Children and Youth "Podgorica" celebrated its 74th anniversary yesterday with an appropriate program in which children, their parents and guests participated.
Acting director of this institution Marijana Antonijević she said that the institution has gone through various changes in 74 years, but it has always kept its basic goal - upbringing, education and rehabilitation.
"Such moments exist to meet, remember, plan and rejoice. You are wise, patient, kind and creative, and time has shown that together we are a team for which there are no boundaries. We are trying, and we will continue to do so, to let's keep up with the times..." Antonijevic said.
She especially thanked the people who contributed to the pedagogical development of the institution and from whom the staff of the Resource Center learned - Mirjana Vučinić, Nikola Miljanić, Jadranka Radulović, Radojka Vukićević i Borka Radonjić.
On Friday, the Podgorica Resource Center also organized a workshop on the topic of peer violence, which was realized by a teacher Bojana Janjušević, and were attended by primary and secondary school students, special education teacher Jelisavka Gavranić and female teachers Snezana Maretic, Vesna Keseljević i Snjezana Kašiković.
"The workshop was held with the aim of raising students' awareness and level of knowledge about peer violence, introducing students to the concept, causes, types and ways of dealing with violence among children, recognizing violence, intolerance to violence and reporting it, but also developing empathy towards victims of violence. atmosphere, we could hear the children's opinions about how they see the problem of peer violence, how to oppose it and how to solve it," the institution announced.
