The Ministry of Culture and Media (MKM) announced that the representatives of the Union of Culture refused to accept the decision to increase the coefficient of the artistic group of jobs.
This was announced by the Ministry of Culture and Media after, as they say, the repeated session of the Committee for implementation, monitoring, application and interpretation of the Branch Collective Agreement for the field of culture, which took place on May 9.
"Previously, the Ministry of Finance gave a positive opinion for increasing the coefficient for the artistic group of jobs in the amount of 10.56", according to the announcement of the Ministry of Culture and Media.
We remind you that the artists were not satisfied with the Branch Collective Agreement on the basis of which the artistic profession was not given an increased income or coefficient, as was foreseen from 20 to 25 percent, as is the case for other employees in cultural institutions, which is why they previously protested.

The Ministry of Culture and Media says that three of their representatives were in favor of making a decision on increasing the coefficient, and that at the session on May 9, "the representatives of the Trade Union, Zorica Stijepović, Slađana Sjekloć and Draško Kovačević, refused to make such a decision".
"We remind you that at the meeting in the Cabinet of the Prime Minister, an agreement was reached with the representatives of the Couture Union that they will vote for an increase in the coefficient for the artistic group of jobs," the announcement states.
The Ministry of Culture and Media adds that after receiving the approval of the Ministry of Finance for the increase of the coefficient, a meeting of the Board was held on May 9 in order to pass the Decision on the increase of the coefficient for the artistic group of jobs.
"Nevertheless, the representatives of the Culture Union of Montenegro changed their position and refused for the Board to make a Decision, despite the positive opinion of the Ministry of Finance and all previously reached agreements with the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Culture and Media," the Ministry of Culture and Media concluded.
