Protest in front of the barracks in Kolašin: "The military training ground in Sinjavina must not exist, the army fired two days ago"

The military training ground in Sinjavina must not exist, as ordered by the protest, which was organized in front of the Kolašin barracks by a group of citizens, Guardians of Sinjavina.

As the participants of the meeting said, "with irresponsible, unprofessional, unprofessional and unfair actions, without the consent of those whose lives are connected to Sinjavina, the Government and the Ministry of Defense directly threaten the largest and most beautiful pasture in the Balkans, the second pasture in Europe and one of the greatest natural treasures of Montenegro Up".

"Three years after the change of government, the decisions that are disastrous and harmful for the people of Montenegro and its resources have not yet been withdrawn and put out of force. Those decisions mean the devastation of forests, mountains and rivers. In Sinjavina, a training ground cannot coexist with agriculture and tourism. We call on the Government , the Ministry of Defense, state and local institutions that, as soon as possible, the Army of Montenegro find a location for the training ground, because there is no place for it in Sinjavina. Free Sinjavina, because the decision on the training ground means immeasurable damage to the mountain, citizens, and future generations ", said Radoje Pujo Čobeljić.

According to his words, citizens are at the end of their patience, given that, as he said, two days ago "the army was shooting on the mountain".

Čobeljić also said that "all existing problems related to Sinjavina must be resolved quickly, efficiently and fairly".

As Vlado Bojić said, two days ago the army was shooting from private property in Sinjavina, and the locals don't know if it was maneuver or live ammunition.

"Sinjavina is ours and we must defend it. We need the unity of the people of Mojkov, Kolašinac, Žabljač, Šavnič and Danilovgrad. We warn the local and state authorities that the solution, according to which the training ground is allowed on the mountain, must be deleted. We ask the presidents of the municipalities that gravitate to that mountain to ensure the holding of the referendum on the training ground in Sinjavina," Bojić said.

The participants of the protest reminded that Prime Minister Dritan Abazović, as they said, "guaranteed that there will be no training ground in Sinjavina".

They also claim that the roads to their properties are often blocked due to the activities of the army, and that in addition to "a lot of fired and unfired ammunition, there is also a lot of garbage" left on the mountain.

They also remind that the frequent "shooting" of the army in Sinjavina disrupts the activities of the locals, and as they say, "what remains after the exercises poisons the watercourses".

The representatives of the Guardians of Sinjavina, after the prostration, handed over a cardboard box with ammunition to the Kolašin police, which they claim they found on the mountain a few days ago.
