About 10.000 of the required 26.000 euros were collected for the treatment of four-year-old Alida Murić from Rožaj, the non-governmental organization (NGO) Izvor života announced.

"The family sincerely thanks all the people, diaspora and big-hearted businessmen for their help so far, believing that they will be able to collect the missing money," the statement of the NGO Izvor života points out.

Alida has paresis on the left side, which was diagnosed as cerebral palsy and was treated at the "Simo Milošević" Institute.

"Alida has developed speech, but she cannot walk. After consulting with doctors in Istanbul, the parents were given hope that Alida does not actually suffer from cerebral palsy, but that the problem is in the nerves of the spine and neck and that there are great chances for her to be cured. A family led by good with the experience of another boy from Bijelo Polje who, after surgery and therapy in Turkey, was able to walk despite being diagnosed with cerebral palsy, they decided to help their little girl. The family of little Alida, after all the consultations with the doctors in Istanbul, gained hope for her recovery and decided to turn to the public ", the announcement reads.

It is added that Alida has four more brothers and sisters, all of them are under five years old, they live as tenants in very difficult conditions and the only income is that which they make at Alida.

"The family has only one wish, and that is for Alida to grow up happy and healthy like all other children, and in order to realize their hopes, 26.000 euros are needed, including the costs of treatment, accommodation and travel, which they cannot provide on their own. The family is asking the diaspora, businessmen and everyone citizens of good will to help them get their baby back on its feet," said the NGO Izvor života.
