If the census were held now, the largest number of citizens in Montenegro would declare themselves as Montenegrins - 42,8 percent, while 32,8 would declare themselves as Serbs.

This is shown by the results of the first annual survey of political public opinion in Montenegro by the Center for Democracy and Human Rights (CEDEM), which were presented today in Podgorica.

As CEDEM said at the presentation, the research was conducted from May 1 to 14 on a sample of 1.003 respondents.

8,7 percent would declare themselves as Bosniaks, 4,9 percent as Albanians.

According to the same survey, 46,7 percent of citizens speak Serbian, 36,4 percent Montenegrin, 5,3 percent Bosnian/Bosniak, and 4,2 percent Albanian.
