The Inter-Municipal Youth Sports Games (MOSI), 58 in a row, will be held in Kolašin from July 5 to 9, it was confirmed at the Assembly of that event. MOSI participants will compete in 14 sports disciplines this year.
The Vice Presidents of the Municipality Vasilije Ivanović and Miodrag Bulatović presented to the Assembly delegates the activities organized by MOSI so far.
"Preparations are going well, even though they started in February, after the transition of government. By the time MOSI opens, we will have new fields for indoor soccer and volleyball. Competitions in all disciplines will be held in Kolašin, except athletics, which will be held in Berane. Negotiations are underway with big names from the region for performances every night during the games," the MOSI Assembly pointed out.
The session's agenda included decisions defining the opening and closing ceremony of the games, the amount of the registration fee, accommodation and food.
The registration fee for participation in MOSI in Kolašin will be 200 euros. As announced by the director of the local Tourist Organization, Zorica Milašinović, the daily price of food for the participants will be 15, and the price of collective accommodation will be five euros per person. Participants who choose hotel or apartment accommodation will pay 15 euros per day.
The municipality of Kolašin recently announced a public call for the creation of a conceptual design for the logo for 58. The goal of the call, as announced, is "to obtain a high-quality, original and simple logo design that will be the trademark of MOSI 2023".
"It is desirable that the conceptual design of the logo contains a sign (graphic element) and a logo (characters). The logo solution must be in accordance with the standardized MOSI emblem as well as the official mascot of the games (brown bear, bald eagle, otter)," the public invitation reads.
MOSI is the largest exhibition of amateur sports in the Balkans and is held in the cities of Montenegro, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). Last year they were held in Nova Varoš.
The beginnings of this manifestation date back to 1954, when the Assembly of the Union of Yugoslav Students took the initiative of Prijepolje students to organize a "physical triathlon" of the youth of Prijepolje, Priboj, Nova Varoš as part of "Student Week".
"Physical triathlon" later grew into Sandzačke, and then into today's MOSI competition. Several thousand athletes take part in the games.
