Acting President of the Supreme Court of Montenegro Vesna Vučković was presented with the Golden Plaque of the European University Brčko District from Brčko in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and recognition from the University "Gideon Robert" from Lusaka in Zambia, it was announced on website of the Supreme Court.

The announcement states that Vučković participated in the 11th International Scientific Meeting "Humanity before the challenges of artificial intelligence", which was held in Brčko on May 19 and 20 this year.

At the Scientific Meeting, in the Plenary Session, a co-authored paper was presented, prof. Dr. Vesne Vučković and Prof. Dr. Branko Vučković, "Artificial intelligence - a challenge for court proceedings".

"The paper pointed out the possibility of using artificial intelligence in court proceedings, that its application creates the possibility of discrimination, because machine learning algorithms have many specificities that can lead to discrimination," said the Supreme Court.

"It is a generally accepted view that the use of artificial intelligence can facilitate the conduct of court proceedings. However, its introduction does not mean that the judge will be displaced from the judiciary, because algorithms cannot recognize emotions, determine the value of justice and fairness. We are entering a new technological era and not only the court apply the law, artificial intelligence will also be able to do so", according to the co-authors.

At the International Meeting, which gathered more than 160 participants from over 20 countries around the world, the co-authors received Golden Plaques for their special contribution to the development of legal sciences, as well as recognition from the State University "Gideon Robert" from Lusaka-Zambia, for their contribution to legal science, education and education.
