The fifth Family Fest was held on Saturday in Podgorica, in front of the Petrović Castle in Kruševac.
The Association of Parents, which organized the event on the occasion of May 15 - International Family Day, in partnership with the Capital City, announced that "thousands of families" attended the event.
The festival was officially opened by the deputy mayor, Danilo Saranović, wishing children and parents that "happiness and joy will be the only feelings among all of us". Šaranović also said that "the sum of all our families makes one big family that we call Podgorica".
This was followed by the cyclists' promenade, organized by the non-governmental organization Biciklo.me.
"The all-day program of the 5th edition of the festival was designed so that all members of the family could enjoy it. Within the rich program, more than 70 different contents were organized during the day: creative-educational workshops, competitions, games and sports activities, performances for children, music and dance performances, animations, socializing with mascots, a big party, adopting puppies, a family fair...", according to the Parents' Association.
In the atrium and in front of the castle, as they said, a diverse entertainment program was organized.
More than 11 participants took part in the part of the program that was organized in 60 thematic zones in the park, and during the program they held more than 70 creative, educational and sports workshops and activities, and a picnic zone was also set up in the park.
The Podgorica firefighters presented their equipment and vehicle to the children, the "Radosav Ljumović" National Library presented a mobile library project, while Zelenilo held a planting workshop.
A family fair was also held during the festival.
"We are very satisfied and very happy with how the fifth edition of the biggest family gathering in our country has passed. We would like to thank all the parents who brought their little ones to spend an unforgettable day in nature, as well as other members of their families who also came to enjoy the program contents. Together, we sent a strong message that the family is the most important in society, that the family should be taken care of and supported. We would especially like to thank all the parents who yesterday during the day took care that the park remained tidy after the event and thus taught their children through a practical example how to behave in nature and on public areas," said the Parents' Association.
