The seismology sector of the Institute for Hydrometeorology and Seismology registered a weak earthquake tonight at 19.43:XNUMX, with an epicenter four kilometers west of Šušnje, in the municipality of Bar.
The strength of the earthquake in the focal point was 2.7 units on the Richter scale, which corresponds to the epicentral intensity of degree III of the Mercalli scale, according to the announcement.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 21 kilometers.
"Based on the numerical model of the change in intensity with distance in this region, the magnitude of the earthquake and the depth of the hypocenter, this earthquake could not have caused material damage in the epicentral area," the statement said.
