The President of the Board of Directors of the Regional Water Supply of the Montenegrin Coast, Zoran Lakušić, sent a letter to the Protector of Property and Legal Relations of Montenegro, Bojana Ćirović, in which he requests that all necessary activities be undertaken so that the Regional Water Supply can settle its claims.
"We inform you in accordance with Articles 54, 56 and 57 of the Law on State Property ("Official Gazette of Montenegro" 40/11), that DOO "Regionalni vodovod Crnogrsko primorje" Budva, sent letters to investors who built facilities on the territory of the Municipality of Montenegrin Littoral , on the need to pay a special fee for the equipment of the land to LLC "Regionalni vodovod Crnogorsko primoje" Budva.
Namely, use permits were not issued for the mentioned facilities, but it is important to note that the payment of a special investment fee is a condition for issuing a building permit, i.e. a condition for issuing a use permit for facilities for which a construction permit was issued in the period from 2008 to 2011. year, which is the case with the investors in question, since the then valid Law on Spatial Planning and Construction of Buildings prescribed the payment of compensation in the phase of obtaining a use permit", the letter states.
DOO "Regional water supply Montenegrin coast", as the company points out, has been facing the problem of paying special compensation for a long time by a significant number of entities that built facilities on the Montenegrin coast without building and use permits.
"For this reason, the Regional Office undertakes a series of activities in order to control the issued building permits, with the aim of checking whether the buildings have been built or put into use with the prior acquisition of the complete necessary documentation. Due to non-payment of legal obligations by a number of facilities, the Regional Water Supply is deprived of significant revenues from special fees, which are defined by the Law on Regional Water Supply of the Montenegrin Coast. Bearing in mind the financial challenges that the Regional Water Supply is facing, as well as the estimated amount of the special fee that should be earned, the Regional Water Supply appeals to the competent entities to solve this problem as soon as possible", the company announced.
