The President of the Municipality of Kolašin, Vladmir Martinović, hosted a reception for Gorštak karate players and the club's management.
Kolašin karate players, last weekend, achieved notable results at the Balkan Championship, which was held in Bar.
Gold medals at that competition were won by Milovan Janković, Lazar Rakočević, Luka Đurić and Ivona Vlahović, and bronze medals by Monika Dulović, Uroš Samardžić and Nemanja Dožić.
Martinović announced that, as a sign of gratitude for the numerous medals and awards, the Municipality will co-finance 16.000 euros of the activities of the Ministry of Sports and the Property Administration, so that the Gorštak karate players will get a hall for martial arts.
As explained, the hall will provide better and better working conditions.
According to the President of the Municipality, the results of KK Gorštak "should be a source of pride for Kolašin and Montenegro". He said that the local administration is open to providing support as much as possible, and that, he claims, "in the coming period, they will try to be a much bigger support for the club, which deserves more attention at the local level."
As the coach of KK Gorštak said, the funds that the Municipality will allocate are a great help to the children from that club. Now, they explain, it is up to the Ministry of Sports and the Property Administration to realize what is their obligation, given that the sports hall is their property.
From that club, they claim that "the approach of the local self-government is an additional wind behind them so that Kolasin athletes can achieve similar results in the following periods in order to present the city in the best possible way."
