The Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce (PKCG) and the Faculty of Law of the University of Montenegro signed an agreement on cooperation, with the aim of developing mutual cooperation and educational activities.
The agreement was signed by the President of the Arbitration Court, Vesko Božović, and the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Aneta Spaić.
The signing of the agreement was also attended by the president of PKCG Nina Drakić, secretary of the Arbitration Court Maja Golović Vojinović, as well as regular professors at the Faculty of Law, Vladimir Savković and Dražen Cerović.
"Promoting the idea of improving practical knowledge and skills, achieving the highest possible quality legal education and connecting theory and practice in the field of arbitration and other alternative ways of resolving commercial disputes, and in accordance with their competences, these two institutions agree to establish mutual relations of cooperation, regulating them" , according to the press release of PKCG.
The subject of the agreement is the development of mutual cooperation and educational activities, which will be evaluated as complementary from the point of view of both signatories.
"The agreement is realized through the cooperation of the signatory parties in order to implement activities through the organization of joint round tables, seminars and other activities in order to improve and promote arbitration and other alternative ways of resolving commercial disputes," the announcement states.
The arbitration court will enable students of the Faculty of Law to perform professional practice in order to acquire practical skills.
The Faculty of Law will facilitate joint scientific and research work through scientific and professional-applied projects of national, regional and international importance in areas of common interest, which will contribute to the affirmation of arbitration and other alternative ways of resolving commercial disputes.
