There is room for cooperation and I expect that after the formation of the new convocation of the Government, the implementation of all policies to improve the quality of life of Montenegrin society, especially vulnerable social groups, will be accelerated, said Minister of Human and Minority Rights Fatmir Đeka.
Đeka, as announced by the MLJMP, met with representatives of the LGBT Forum Progres and the Social Center, with whom he discussed the best practices so far in the process of strengthening society's awareness in the direction of understanding and accepting diversity on any basis.
"The month of June is marked as a month of pride, a month that reminds us of diversity, of the importance of strengthening awareness and greater acceptance of all our peculiarities in Montenegro, primarily through various programs of civil society organizations," the Ministry's announcement reads.
At the meeting, as stated, they discussed the state of human rights of LGBTI persons in Montenegro, priorities in the action of the LGBTI movement and upcoming activities that may be of importance to the LGBTI community.
