Tivat: Award ceremony for the most successful students from Tivat

The award ceremony for the most successful students from Tivat, winners of the "Luča" award, students of the generation and awarded at national and international competitions, was held today in the multimedia hall of the Municipality of Tivat.

The awards were presented to the best by the President of the Municipality of Tivat Željko Komnenović, Vice President of the Municipality Jovan Brinić and Secretary for Social Activities Olivera Mišković Vidojević.

Congratulating the best students on their success, Mayor Komnenović told them to live in interesting and demanding times.

"You are the generations that arose in the time of the pandemic, but also at the moment when the technological revolution is experiencing unprecedented growth, when we are exchanging experiences and opinions with artificial intelligence. These are the challenges that await you, and your biggest task will be to build yourself into successful personalities who will contribute to our city," he said.

"Tivat used to be, I would say, quite inferior compared to other cities, but it has grown into an environment where we cultivate a winning mentality. You are the generation that I am sure, like the previous best generations, will bring new momentum and new development to Tivat," Komnenović said.

He pointed out that the local administration will pay attention to all student successes, but at the same time he asked the students to return to Tivat as accomplished professionals.

He announced the continuation of the local administration's support for the local educational institutions, as well as the imminent start of work on the construction of a new elementary school building in Radovići.

Vuk Samardžić, a student of the first generation at "Drago Milović" Primary School, thanked the city on behalf of all the awardees. He especially thanked the teachers for the life lessons and his peers for their friendly support. "Let's do everything to return to our Tivat and help its development and progress," said Samardžić.

The winners of the "Luča" award and the monetary award awarded by the Municipality of Tivat for their achievements this year are: in the Junior High School "Drago Milović" Natalija Grbović, Luka Mikulandra, Janja Stojković, Andrej Nikolić, Vladana Grbović, Anja Grubač, Biljana Matijević, Anja Petrović, Maša Praščević; in JU Elementary School "Branko Brinić": Ekatarina Peričić, Marko Petrović, Petar Jašović; in Junior High School "Mladost": Ivana Petranović, Staša Stojković, Jana Mrvaljević, Ksenija Braletić, Jovana Ljepavić, Marija Luković, Ilija Jelić, Luka Samardžić, Marko Bogetić, Lana Milović, Marija Vraneš, Sonja Matijević, Ivana Francesković, Lara Kružić, Teodora Cramps; and from Kotor Maritime High School: Andrija Tučević, Ratko Čejović, Kristian Radović, Savo Sredojević.

Vuk Samardžić is a student of the generation at "Drago Milović" Elementary School, and Ekatarina Peričić at "Branko Brinić" Elementary School.

Today, municipal awards also went to students from Tivat who won one of the first three places in national and international competitions: Vuk Samardžić, Egor Georgievski, Milica Rančić, Sofia Franović, Ece Dora Tashkent, Sofia Verhovskaya, Irina Klakor, Marija Samardžić, Ana Klakor, Dražen Fažo, Teodora Drakul, Nikola Skupnjak, Adrian Gebauer, Valentina Nikolić, Antonija Vidović, Anđela Vlaović, Petar Kustudić, Aleksandar Luković, Ekaterina Zhakulina, Nikolas Ciko, Mila Popović, Doris Franović, Jakov Marković, Damjan Pajović, Francesca Lesjak , Maša Samardžić and Isidora Babić.

The award ceremony was graced with her performance by Tivat Music School student Ece Dora Tashkent from the class of Professor Nevile Klakor.

Pursuant to the Decision on Rewarding Primary and Secondary School Students from 2022, the monetary award for students holding the "Luča" diploma and students of the next generation is 200 euros.

Students who achieved success in national and international competitions were awarded monetary amounts ranging from 50 to 150 euros.
