In the past seven days, seven new cases of coronavirus have been registered in Montenegro, and no deaths related to covid infection have been recorded during that period.
The Institute for Public Health (IJZ) announced that their and other public and private laboratories that deal with the diagnosis of coronavirus infection have, in the past seven days, completed the analysis and submitted results for 1.293 samples.
The newly discovered cases are two from Budva and Nikšić, and one each from Podgorica, Herceg Novi, and Tivat.
The share of positive cases in the total number of those tested for the period from May 31 to Tuesday was 0,54 percent.
"During the reporting period, no deaths related to coronavirus infection were reported to the IJZ," the statement said.
The total number of deaths related to the COVID-19 infection in Montenegro since the beginning of the pandemic is 2.828.
It is stated that by 15 p.m. the recovery of 11 patients had been reported.
Taking into account all newly discovered cases, as well as the number of recoveries, the total number of currently active cases of COVID-19 in Montenegro is 59.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, the total number of registered cases of infection with the new coronavirus in Montenegro is 291.928.
There are 38 active cases of coronavirus infection in Podgorica, ten in Budva, five in Tivat, two each in Herceg Novi and Nikšić, and one each in Bijelo Polje and Cetinje.
