Vaccines and epidemic prevention materials from China played a special role and helped Montenegro in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, said the director of the Institute for Public Health (IJZ) Igor Galić.
Galić said this at a meeting with the Chinese ambassador to Montenegro, Fan Kun.
"Galić said that vaccines and epidemic prevention materials from China played a special role and helped Montenegro in the fight against the pandemic, while the Chinese experience in diagnosis and treatment also provided useful references to the Montenegrin medical staff," the Embassy of China in Montenegro.
Galić said that the people of Montenegro are grateful for China's help in a challenging time.
"And he really felt a deep and true friendship that is recognized when we face difficult situations," Galić added.
He said that the IJZ is willing to fully play its role in improving cooperation between the two countries in various fields, including medicine, as well as continue to nurture the traditional friendship between Montenegro and China.
Fan pointed out that the friendship between the peoples of China and Montenegro is deep, and he also emphasized mutual help and support during the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Embassy said that Fan presented China's important contribution to the global fight against the pandemic, as well as the achievements of the development of the Chinese medical and health care system in the new era.
Fan pointed out that the Chinese side is ready to strengthen cooperation with Montenegro, such as the training of medical personnel and the procurement of medical equipment.
On Tuesday, the Chinese Embassy also hosted a reception for a delegation consisting of school principals and university staff who will visit China.
Fan, as reported, showed the latest achievements of Chinese-style modernization through video clips.
He stated that he hopes that during the visit the delegation will feel the strong power and great changes in the development of China's economy and society, and experience the ancient and modern side of Chinese culture.
