Submitted documentation on "Cleanliness" to SDT: "This is only the tip of the iceberg, employees in the city system are reporting"

Deputy Mayor of Podgorica Danilo Šaranović and President of the Board of Directors of the city company "Čistoća" Milan Vukadinović submitted to the Special State Prosecutor's Office documentation which, as they said earlier, indicates abuses in the work of "Čistoća" during the tenure of former director Andrija Čađenović.

"Today, we made available to the chief special state prosecutor Vladimir Novović a notification about the existence of grounds for suspecting that the responsible persons in "Čistoća" committed criminal acts that are being prosecuted ex officio. In the meantime, we have obtained some other documentation that confirms our suspicions, and we expect that The SDT will take actions within its jurisdiction as soon as possible," Saranović said.

He repeated that the employees themselves confirmed that they were exposed to years of pressure from the former management to falsify statements.

"There are donations, one-time aid payments. How the prosecutor qualifies the criminal acts is his job. Our task is to inform the public and competent institutions about all illegalities," Saranović told reporters in front of the prosecutor's office.

He said that he is sure that this is "just the tip of the iceberg".

"Since last week's press conference, so many employees within the Capital City system have freed themselves to point out to us numerous years of abuse and unscrupulous behavior of a large group of individuals from the Capital City system," he said, saying that they must not "turn a blind eye to illegalities."

When asked if there had been an earlier audit in "Čistoća" and what they showed, Šaranović said that "if someone did not want to act according to legally binding court rulings, imagine how ready he was behind the curtain to commit illegalities".

"You really don't need expertise for the kind of abuse we encountered in "Cistoca". If needed, we have more than enough people with specific knowledge in the field who will be of help to us."

The value of the resulting walk cannot be determined because, Saranović explains, the financial reports are not credible.

"Cistoca now owes over two million euros, and it owed less than 100 when Čađenović took office. When he left Čistoca, there were 40 in the account, and when he came, it was 530".

Cleanliness and Landfill to at least pay net earnings

Šaranović told reporters that the debt of "Čistoća" to another city company, "Deponia", is one million euros.

"Because of that, it is uncertain whether 'Deponija' will be able to service its obligations, including loan installments, as well as earnings. We are doing everything possible so that both companies pay at least net earnings," he pointed out.

"Vijesti" announced last week that "Čistoća" paid out more than 380 euros in four years in the name of donations, sponsorships and aid, and that the former management ordered employees to delete information about who the money was given to.

The amount of over 380, as the president of the Board of Directors of "Čistoće" Milan Vukadinović told "Vijesta" at the time, refers to the period when Andrija Čađenović (DPS) was at the head of that utility company. Of that, in the last year and in five months of this year, according to Vukadinović, "Čistoća" gave over 185 in donations, sponsorships and aid.

According to the documentation that "Vijesti" had access to, the analytical account cards do not contain all the information about whose accounts the payments were made to, and the accounting department of "Čistoće" claims that this is because they are deleted from 2021 at the request of the management and former CEO.

Čađenović, on the other hand, says that he didn't hide anything or order something to be hidden or falsified, and accuses Saranović and Vukadinović of "continuing to exert pressure and mobbing" on the employees of "Cistoća".
