The head of the Islamic community in Montenegro, Rifat Fejzić, congratulated the members of the Islamic faith on Kurban Bajram, saying that there are days of reminders of the strong faith of the forefather of monotheism, Ibrahim, and his willingness to make the greatest sacrifice and God's mercy as a reward, the Islamic community announced.
"This holiday should bring understanding and peace among the descendants of Adam and be a Eid of awakening and unity," said Fejzić in his congratulations to Muslims on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
"Allah's message to Ibrahim, peace be upon him, that human life is sacred and cannot be sacrificed, marked a turning point in civilization and a step forward from barbarism towards the establishment of peace and order on earth. Peace as the predominance of conscience over instinct, responsibility over pleasure , solidarity over greed and justice over injustice. The teaching of the first sacrifice is an all-time signpost that the sanctity of human life means peace on earth," the congratulatory message states.
He reminded, as stated, that these are actually the days of the Hajj.
"God's Messenger Ibrahim, peace be upon him, laid the foundations of the Holy Kaaba - the temple of equality, which is visited by millions of pilgrims from all over the world, including our 218 pilgrims. All of them testify to faith in one God and manifest equality before Him. Nowhere like there, and now, the words of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, uttered 14 centuries ago, that "there is no superiority of an Arab over a non-Arab, nor a non-Arab over an Arab, nor a white man over a black man, nor a black man over a white man, do not resonate, except for devotion to God," Fejzić added in his congratulatory message.
The messages of sacrifice and hajj, said Fejzić, that human life is sacred, that all people are equal and that justice is the embodiment of peace and freedom, today, he added, we need more than ever.
"In an age when we are often exposed to aggressive public discourse, negative news and depictions of violence, it is easy to lose hope in the perspective of our society. However, when we look more closely at our daily interactions and relationships, we realize that our environment is truly full of love, solidarity and humanity." wrote the reis of the Islamic community in Montenegro.
Often, he said, it is the little things that bring joy to our lives.
"A smile from a seller that brightens our day, a friendly greeting from a neighbor that shows us that we are part of the community, support from friends that encourages us - these are all moments that show that kindness, compassion and support are present among us. There were bright examples in times of suffering and stumbling, because hatred and chauvinism were never constants of our ancestors. If they were, this country would not have survived for even a decade, let alone a whole millennium," said Fejzić.
The color of values of freedom, creativity, bese and merchamet, he added, has withstood all the cyclones of stormy history.
"A multicultural society survives on justice, inclusion and solidarity, not on a "common enemy", Fejzić wrote.
"O believers. Be firm for the sake of Allah, bear witness in the name of justice and do not let the enmity of a people lead you to not act justly. Be just, that is the closest thing to honesty and godliness", says the Holy Qur'an, "it is written in the Qur'an, reminds Fejzić.
Justice has, he said, a cohesive function in society.
"Selectivity and revanchism are its antipode, and they are characteristics of discrimination," said Fejzić, the congratulatory message added.
Dear friends, says Fejzić, allow me to remind you that our Islamic community is multinational, and that it is predominantly made up of members from minority nations.
"We were and remain on the side of general progress, democratization, interculturality and the affirmation of interpersonal relations. We pay taxes and contribute to building a common future for all our children. However, while people approach me and tell me how they have lost a job or how they are unsuccessfully looking for one, I I will keep quiet, although I know that the reasons certainly do not lie in incompetence. Unemployment is the main cause of large emigration of members of minority nations. If this is a strategy, then it works perfectly, but if it is not, let's get in the way of it," said Fejzić in his congratulatory message.
Let's open the gates of hope to new generations with pure hearts and hands for a future worthy of every citizen, said Fejzić and added:
"Let's start together, from the family, the media, the education system and culture, to building a society that the heirs of our children will proudly call their home. May God help us in this".
Finally, Fejzić added that by asking the Almighty Lord to strengthen us on the right path, improve our community and wider society, he congratulated all Muslims on the upcoming holiday.
"Bajram sherif mubarek olsun. Gezuar Kurban Bajramin," Fejzic wrote.
