Corruption and crime within Podgorica's "Čistoća" or any other company will be stopped, and legal household business will be ensured, because that is what is expected of us and the new democratic authorities in Podgorica, said Democratic Montenegro.
From that party, as it was announced, they condemned the threats addressed to the president of the Board of Directors of "Čistoća" Milan Vukadinović and demanded that the perpetrator be brought to justice.
"What else can be expected from those who apparently only have the courage to commit criminal acts and illegally spend the money of the target to fulfill their personal and party desires," said the Democrats.
They assessed that the note under the wiper of Vukadinović's vehicle was a sign of the lack of courage of those "who committed criminal acts".
"It is also an unequivocal indication that in all the recently discovered acts that were presented in the previous period, there is evidence of serious criminal acts committed by an organized group who abused their official position in city enterprises," the party said.
They asked where the fear came from if it was not as they said.
"In the previous period, Vukadinović reported to the public about the illegal work and malfeasance of the former management of the company and informed the citizens where their money was spent. While the city was "groaning in uncleanness" in its individual parts, some leaders of the company "Čistoća" were "groaning" in hundreds of thousands of illegally spent money by falsifying final accounts and hiding audit reports," said Demokrat, and added that this company was impoverished, left in debt and, as they said, with serious problems.
Democrats said that the "mafia behind such and similar actions" will not scare the management authorities of any company in Montenegro.
"Indeed, with these miserable and cowardly acts, it will be exactly the wind at the back to bravely start the fight against crime and corruption at all levels. We have been preparing for such a fight for years and we will never give up such a fight," they stated.
They added that the only thing they don't know is fear, and that's why they won't stop "no matter what."
"While we are preparing an even stronger attack on the mafia, we call on all management bodies in other companies to comb through the documentation and determine all possible irregularities and expel the mafia from public companies," said the Democrats.
They called on the competent authorities to protect Vukadinović and his family, and to discover the perpetrators and enable the management authorities to continue working unhindered and in accordance with the Law.
"This would ensure legal business and consolidation of finances in all public companies," the Democrats concluded.
