The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Montenegro has published the second public call for project proposals of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) dealing with the promotion of transitional justice and social cohesion and the protection of human rights.
UNDP announced that the call refers to projects aimed at dealing with the past and promoting reconciliation, as well as supporting victims of war crimes and survivors to achieve better access to justice.
The public call was published as part of the four-year Regional Project "Support of the European Union to Building Trust in the Western Balkans", which is financed by the Union and implemented by UNDP.
"The project will provide professional support to judicial and law enforcement authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Serbia in the processing of war crimes cases at the national level and will improve the conditions for regional cooperation in the processing of those cases," the statement says. .
It is stated that the project will improve the provision of support to victims of war crimes and witnesses and strengthen the capacities of relevant actors in supporting victims.
"The aim of the support is to improve the capacity of institutions for efficient and effective processing of war crimes in the Western Balkans, with a focus on victims and respect for human rights," said UNDP.
As they stated, the deadline for submitting NGO project proposals is July 31, with a minimum amount per grant of five thousand and a maximum of 80 thousand euros.
