There was an accident on the promenade in Pržno this morning, so waste water poured directly over the beach into the sea.
The Budva Waterworks announced that their crews repaired the defect and that there is no longer any fear of sewage spillage.
In the video taken this morning, it can be seen that the waste water is gushing from the cracked pipe, and that it has literally created a river across the beach.
There were no guests on the beach.
Vodovod said that after repairing the malfunction, the sewage system in Pržno is functioning normally again.
"The teams have completed the repair of the defect and there is no longer any fear of spillage of fecal water. According to the legal regulations, we soon expect the disinfection of the grounds, which will completely end today's activities," stated the Waterworks.
They previously announced that teams are on the ground and are repairing a malfunction in the sewage network.
"Due to the rupture of the non-return valve on the sewage system in Pržno, there was a failure, which caused the overflow of wastewater on the promenade and the beach. Colleagues are working on the repair of the damage. The competent sanitary services have also been informed. The site will be disinfected," they said.
