The Ministry of Science and Technological Development (MNTR) announced today the Competition for co-financing participation in EUREKA projects this year, the budget of which is EUR 150.
MNTR announced that the goal of the Competition is to encourage small and medium-sized enterprises and scientific research institutions to cooperate with international partners in starting research and development and innovation activities, as well as to invest in research and development in order to strengthen their innovation capacity.
EUREKA is a European network for financing market-oriented research and development projects with the aim of strengthening European competitiveness through support for entrepreneurship, research centers and universities.
From MNTR, they stated that since joining that network in 2012, as a full member, Montenegro supports the participation of Montenegrin users in EUREKA projects.
As stated, during the consultations for the preparation of the Innovation Program 2023-2027, which determines the programmatic support for participation in EUREKA, the Ministry accepted the requests of potential users, so the support for participation in projects is stronger.
As they said, that is why for this year the value of individual projects supported by the Ministry has doubled compared to previous years and is up to 30 euros for one research year, or up to 90 for three years.
MNTR said that the competition is open until November 6, and the competition documentation on the online platform www.inovacie.gov.me, through which registration is also done, will be available from Monday.
They reminded that at the session on Thursday, the Government adopted the Information on the participation of Montenegro in the EUREKA multi-lateral call for research and development projects for the Western Balkans in 2023.
"The initiative on the synergy of EUREKA with other programs and actions was launched, especially focusing on the synergy with COST actions this year, as well as on the Western Balkans in order to encourage the targeted networking of the institutions of the Western Balkans with other members of the EUREKA network," says the announcement. .
The MNTR said that Montenegro has officially joined the initiative and by the end of this year it is expected to publish the Multilateral call for research and development projects for the Western Balkans in 2023.
"The total amount of funds that Montenegro will allocate for this call is 300 euros for the period 2024-2026, that is, up to 50 for one research year per individual project," the announcement states.
It is added that MNTR will inform the interested public in a timely manner about the schedule of info-days and any additional information of importance for providing support for the participation of Montenegrin users in EUREKA projects.
