The citizens of Cetinje are most interested in water and roads

Citizens of Cetinje were particularly interested in the construction/reconstruction project of water supply infrastructure, as well as in projects concerning road infrastructure, especially when it comes to the improvement of local and uncategorized roads.

This was announced after yesterday's Central Public Hearing on the Draft Proposal for the Development Program of the Capital City of Cetinje for 2024.

"Citizens present expressed a special interest in the construction/reconstruction project of water infrastructure, as well as in projects concerning road infrastructure, especially when it comes to the improvement of local and uncategorized roads. Representatives of the local communities of Dobrsko selo, Đinovići and Gornji Ceklin, on behalf of the locals, presented their requests, which were accepted by the representatives of the city administration of the Capital City of Cetinje, and which, depending on the availability of funds in the capital budget, will mostly be implemented by the end of this year or in during 2024," reads the text from Prijestonica.

It is stated that satisfaction has been expressed with the fact that numerous projects of great importance for the Capital of Cetinje have been implemented and started this year, which relate to the reconstruction of Bajička Street and numerous other city roads, the implementation of the project to reconstruct the water supply network in the Capital: "The start of the project 'Reconstruction Vučedolske streets, channeling and removal of flood, stormwater and fecal water from the main sinkhole to the Belvedere tunnel, with rehabilitation of the main sinkhole, the start of construction of shelters for abandoned animals and the construction of new children's playgrounds in almost all urban areas, landscaping of parks and green areas, etc. .

It is added that it was jointly stated that most of the proposals given at public hearings in the previous year were respected and implemented, whereby the local government, he writes, shows openness, transparency and maximum involvement of citizens in the creation of local policies, especially when it comes to the adoption of such important documents.

They remind that two more public hearings were held in the previous period: in the Memorial House in Bajice and in the Grand Hotel - Gruda Local Government, Donje Polje, with the aim of giving all citizens and representatives of institutions and organizations the opportunity to give their comments and suggestions and based on of the submitted project proposals, the Capital City Development Program for 2024 will be created based on the real needs of citizens.

"After the end of today's Central Public Hearing on the Draft Proposal for the Development Program of the Capital City of Cetinje for 2024 and the processing of all proposals and suggestions, the final opinion of the processor will be given on all the project proposals received during the public hearing. The deadline for drafting the Development Program of the Capital City of Cetinje for 2024 is no later than October 1, 2023, when it, with prior information from the Assembly, should be submitted to the Senate of the Capital City for adoption," the announcement reads.
