Officials of the Capital City visited the city premises where the local communities (MZ) are located and discovered that there is an illegal tavern in the premises of the MZ Ljubović and that the premises have been converted into a place of residence.
The pensioners' club "Ljubović" was previously located in these premises, and after the contracts with the pensioners' association were terminated, the clubs were obliged to leave the premises with settled electricity and water bills.
"An illegal tavern was apparently operating in the premises in question, and this person also used them for personal residence, as evidenced by the photographs," said Deputy Mayor Danilo Šaranović.
He adds that this is a surprise to few, and to most it is a confirmation of how the city's property was treated.
"It is clear that this is usurpation and abuse of the property of the Capital City, for which responsibility will be determined, but also to prevent something similar from ever happening again. The answer to the question why there was no register of the Capital City's property until now is self-evident - probably that such abuses would be hidden," Saranović said.
