At the border crossings of Montenegro with Croatia - Karasovići and Vitaljina, there is a huge crowd, since the early hours of the morning, reports the RTHN portal.
As can be seen in the recordings cameras of the MUP posted at the border crossings, there were also crowds at the border crossings Božaj (with Albania), Vraćenovići and Šćepan polje (with Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Dobrakovo (with Serbia).
Deputy Commander of the Border Police, Igor Bojović, says that all traffic flow at the border crossings between Montenegro and Croatia depends on control on the Croatian side.
"The border crossings between Croatia and Montenegro are connected at the entrance to the Republic of Croatia and the intermediate zone is filled with cars. When it comes to our border crossings and officers of the Herceg Novi Border Police, everything is the same as before - in order to reduce congestion, we apply simplified control. They asked "We are colleagues to speed up the flow of traffic and open all lanes, however, since we are talking about the entrance to the European Union, Croatia does not have a simplified regime, but they have to control all vehicles and passengers," Bojović told RTHN.
He states that the stoppage occurred solely because of the high frequency of traffic at the exit from Montenegro.
He also pointed out that the speed of traffic flow depends on the control and permeability of the Karasovići and Vitaljina border crossings.
