Built-in air conditioners in the "Nova Varoš" Health Center: With 18,5 thousand, they finally solved the problem

Some patients did not find their chosen doctors in the "Nova Varoš" Health Center solely because they are on annual vacation, and not because the air conditioning problem has not yet been solved.

This was announced to "Vijesta" yesterday from the PR service of the Capital City Health Center.

On Monday, selected doctors for adults continued to work from 21:XNUMX a.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.

"On-call work on weekends by selected doctors for adults continues in the health facility "Nova varoš" from 21 a.m. to XNUMX p.m., while the selected doctors for children will provide services to our youngest citizens at the health facility "Block V" on weekends.

Also, the Center for Prevention (Counseling), the Center for Laboratory Diagnostics (sampling) and the Internist Outpatient Clinic will provide health services to citizens in the "Nova varoš" health facility as before, it was announced at the time from the office of the Director of the Health Center of the Capital City.

Air conditioners in the Health Center "Nova varoš" have not been working since June, and the situation became unbearable during the first half of the following month, when daily temperatures of up to 35 degrees Celsius were recorded. Due to problems with the air conditioning, both employees and patients waiting in the waiting rooms, among whom there were elderly citizens, pregnant women and patients with chronic diseases, complained. The masters came several times and repaired the devices, but to no avail because the facility needed to replace the device.

Due to a failure of the central air conditioning system, the teams of selected adult doctors and pediatricians have been moved to other points in Podgorica since July 16. Doctors and patients were sent to health facilities in block V, Zlatica, Stara varoš, Konik and the student polyclinic. At the time, the management of this health facility claimed that the existing central system was installed during the reconstruction of the facility 15 years ago, and that it had not been serviced or properly maintained in previous mandates.

Selected doctors for children returned to the "Nova varoš" facility on July 26, because thanks to donations from the European Union and UNICEF, the problem of air conditioning in the rooms where they work was solved. The EU and Unicef ​​donated 11 new air conditioners, while doctors for adults continued to work in other health facilities on the territory of Podgorica.

At the beginning of August, the Health Center announced a tender for the purchase of the remaining air conditioners, necessary for outpatient clinics and rooms of selected doctors for adults. The tender requested the procurement, delivery and installation of 27 air conditioners with a capacity of 12.000 British thermal units (BTU), one with a capacity of 14.000 BTU and three air conditioners with a capacity of 18.000 BTU.

According to information from the Montenegrin electronic public procurement website (CEJN), the simple procurement was completed in the middle of the month, when the contract was signed.

The purchase of the air conditioner cost 18.549 including VAT. According to the contract, the supplier is obliged to deliver and install air conditioners within 48 hours of signing the contract.
