Again this morning there was a spill of feces on the beach in Petrovac.
Streams of waste water go directly from the shaft into the sea.
Budva's "Vodovod" explains that the cause of today's waste water overflow is the huge amount of precipitation, as well as the inflow of storm water into fecal drains in the Petrovac area.
"The pumping plant is functioning at full capacity and there were no stops at the pumps. The rehabilitation that will follow involves the disinfection of the entire site. We have also informed the competent sanitary services about everything," the company states.
They appealed to the users not to disrupt the functioning of the sewage system by willingly opening manholes in the immediate environment, given that the situation with storm water pouring into the system is a frequent occurrence.
They also asked citizens to inform them if they notice such events.
"Once again, we appeal to everyone that the aforementioned activities and interventions on the ground can only be performed by our teams, and not by individuals. We remind the public and users that by doing this you are endangering the space that surrounds you as well as the streets, promenades and beaches", they conclude.
