The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, wished the students a happy start to the school year and said that education is the key to success in life.
"The knowledge you acquire during schooling is equally important for realizing your dreams and goals, as well as for developing the ability to deal with all life's challenges," said Milatović.
He also thanked the teachers.
"Dear teachers, thank you for your perseverance that despite all the problems in the past and today, you carry the torch of knowledge building the foundations of a better future. The beginning of the school year is a good time for us all to remind ourselves that only on the basis of education and hard work, we can build a just and prosperous society in which everyone will have an equal chance of success," said Milatović.
Milatović appealed to the state authorities to work even more dedicatedly in the coming period to create the best possible conditions for a successful and high-quality educational process for all students and educators.
"I am familiar with the demands of the Education Union and the warning strike that is being implemented today. I expect that the disputed issues will be further resolved in the best interest of our education system," concluded Milatović.
