The Podgorica Protection and Rescue Service announced this evening that it localized the fire on the Gorica hill and that there is a well-founded suspicion that it was arson.
That service announced on its Facebook profile that at 19.32:11 it received a report that there was a fire in Gorica and that four crews with XNUMX firefighters were sent to the scene.
"Upon going to the scene, we found a fire in its initial phase, which spreads easily due to strong wind. With the quick intervention of the Service members, the fire was localized 10 minutes after the report was received, and thus a huge fire was avoided. The fire, which is suspected to be arson, was extinguished at 19.46:XNUMX p.m.," said the Protection and Rescue Service - the capital city of Podgorica.
They appeal to citizens to refrain from lighting fires in open spaces, so as not to endanger the natural resources of Podgorica.
