All bus lines of the city company "Roads" from September 11 to 30 will be free for citizens, while elementary and high school students who have exercised their right by submitting an application will have free transportation until the end of the school year, i.e. June 30, 2024, it was announced. today from the capital Podgorica.
The announcement adds that all users who have already purchased monthly tickets for September will be able to use this right in the same period of the following month, and it is enough to contact the "Roads" counter with the purchased monthly ticket.
"Also, in the previous period, the Secretariat for Transport and the city company "Roads" doo, which manages the transportation of passengers in scheduled transportation, worked on the expansion of the traffic network in accordance with the plan and program of the lines, but also according to the requests of the citizens, and introduced new lines: L-15 from Old airport towards Mareza, L-16 from Gololotočki žrtava Square towards Dahna, L-53 from Ber to Moskovska street and they will go for a time period of 20 and 30 minutes respectively. Also, lines have been introduced that will go for an hour: L-23 from Golootočki žrtava Square to Velje brdo and L-30 from the bus station to Rakić House," said Acting Secretary for Transport Ninoslav Kaluđerović.
As Kaluđerović pointed out, according to the current plan there are certain lines that will be extended at the request of the citizens during September, with the designation of new bus stops.
"The capital, in addition to work on improving public transport, will pay special attention to raising citizens' awareness of the advantages of using buses, as well as alternative modes of transport. In addition to the free "Roads" bus lines, numerous activities will be organized on this topic, and on the occasion of European Week of mobility, which is celebrated every year from September 16 to 22," concludes the announcement of the Capital City of Podgorica.
