Teams of firefighters protect houses in Kuči from fire.

According to the commander of the Protection Service, Andrija Čađenović, firefighters extinguished the belt around the houses in Kuče, in the towns of Ubalac, Zagrađe and Momče.

"There is also an active fire in Kuče above Kržanje, which is on inaccessible terrain, but which we are trying to put out in cooperation with the planes of the Directorate", said Čađenović.

According to Čađenović, the situation in Radovča is favorable, and at that location firefighters were putting out small fires that were activated due to the accumulation of plant waste.

During the night, between Thursday and Friday, the Podgorica Protection Service intervened to put out 22 fires, and during the day firefighters managed to prevent a larger fire on Gorica hill.

"We received the report at 15:6 p.m., and two vehicles with five firefighters arrived at the scene in six minutes. The fire was extinguished at 15:43 and its spread was prevented," said Čađenović.
