The meeting was opened by the dean of the Faculty of Economics, Mijat Jocović, who at the beginning expressed his satisfaction with the great interest in this year's meeting in Podgorica.

"Allow me to share with you the undisguised emotion of satisfaction that we have the opportunity to be the hosts and organizers of this meeting. When our friends from Split suggested that we run, they said that the meetings are traditional and serve to bring the members of the departments together, exchange knowledge, initiating new scientific research ideas and gaining new friendships in the region. I am convinced that we will make good use of this opportunity," said Jocović.

The head of the Department of Management and Marketing at the Faculty of Economics, Boban Melović, said that the initiative for this meeting arose last September, when the previous meeting was held in Maribor, Slovenia, and that it was an idea that had been worked on intensively since the beginning of the year.

"We tried to first select the topic of the meeting well and among several current topics, we considered that the field of artificial intelligence is especially in the focus of numerous managers, leaders, entrepreneurs and marketing managers," Melović said.

The first day of the Interdepartmental Conference was marked by introductory lectures by some of the most outstanding professors in this field.

One of the world's leading authorities in the theory and practice of management, Isak Adižes, addressed the audience via video link and spoke on the topic "Artificial intelligence and modern management and marketing".

After Professor Adižes, the vice-rector for international cooperation of the University of Zagreb and full professor of the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb, Jurica Pavičić, spoke on the topic "Challenges of education management in the conditions of the development of artificial intelligence".

The introductory lecture was concluded by Milorad Novičević from the University of Mississippi in the United States of America, speaking on the topic "Artificial Intelligence through the prism of ethics".

The attention of those present was also attracted by the panel discussion entitled: The role of the IT industry in the function of improving competitiveness. Where is the IT business in Montenegro and what are the most significant figures of our IT scene, Montenegro and the region, digitization and digital transformation, application of artificial intelligence in business. These are some of the topics discussed at the panel moderated by Vujica Lazović, and the panelists were: Miloš Milošević (Fleka), Branimir Bukilić (Data Design), Tarik Zaimović (ICT Cortex) and Predrag Lešić (Domen).

On the second day of the 13th Interdepartmental Meeting, in addition to registered participants, a large number of representatives of the local business community, the ICT community, as well as numerous students, attended an interesting panel discussion Story of successful business - during which Dejan Petković (Coinis) and Esad Zaimović (Chairman of the Board of Directors , Hipotekarna banka), in a conversation with Tarik Zaimović, shared their stories about career development with those present and sent numerous messages to young people.

On the second day of the conference, within the work segment, three parallel sessions were held: Effectiveness of management and different models of work organization in the conditions of the development of the digital economy, which was moderated by prof. Dr. Jasmina Ćetković, Digitization and artificial intelligence as part of the creative destruction of the traditional marketing paradigm, moderated by prof. Dr. Boban Melović and the entrepreneurial ecosystem as a prerequisite for economic development in the digital age moderated by Assoc. Dr. Mirjana Kuljak. The second day of the meeting was also an opportunity for the presentation of books and the dissemination of project results, as well as the presentation of ideas and the potential of possible cooperation between the participants of the interdepartmental meeting. In this segment, the moderator was Assoc. Dr. Ivan Radević.

The meeting of chairs for management, organization, entrepreneurship and marketing closed with the election of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Belgrade as the host of the inter-departmental meeting for 2024.
