Postmen-deliverers of the Post of Montenegro will soon deliver parcels to their users with electric mopeds, the Post announced.
"After branding, the new mopeds will be sent to our colleagues in all regional centers. The purchase of 40 electric mopeds is a continuation of the electrification of the Company's fleet, which at the moment has five delivery and three passenger electric vehicles," the announcement states.
The modernization and increase of the capacity of the vehicle fleet was intensified, as added in the announcement, in the previous two years, during which 180 new mopeds intended for postmen-deliverers were acquired.
These investments represent, as the Post said, one of the prerequisites for improving the quality of the delivery service, and therefore the satisfaction of our users.
"By procuring vehicles and mopeds that meet ecological criteria, the Post of Montenegro follows the trends of European postal administrations and respects standards in the field of environmental protection," the announcement states.
The majority of subsequent vehicle acquisitions will be vehicles without harmful gas emissions, said the Post.
"The Post of Montenegro realized the procurement of electric vehicles with the support of the Quality Fund of the Universal Postal Union and the Environmental Protection Fund of Montenegro," reads the announcement of the Post of Montenegro.
