A large fire broke out at the Landfill in Podgorica last night, which the teams of the Protection and Rescue Service of the Capital City managed to put out with great efforts.

The smoke is still very felt in almost all parts of the city.

According to the Oči Podgorica website, the fire was set.

The landfill is now being monitored by numerous teams from the Protection and Rescue Service, and Danilovgrad firefighters also took part in the extinguishing last night.

"This is not the first time, as unofficially, but we have reliably learned that unauthorized persons enter the site of the Landfill and cause, shall we say, commercial fires, where after burning they take materials that they later sell..." wrote Predrag Tomović, the administrator of the site.
