Consumers who are supplied from the Kolašin, so-called, new water supply, that is, consumers in the settlements of Babljak, Drijenak, Rogobore, Bakovići, Plana, Lug - Pažanj, a smaller part of the city, a smaller part of Smailagić Polje, and the settlement via Svinjača, part of the settlement of Breza, Radigojno and Prljavi brijek will not have water on Saturday from 18:18 a.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. Consumers who are supplied with water directly from the reservoir (the largest part of the city settlement Kolašin, the settlement Gornji Pažanj and a smaller part of the settlement Polje) will remain without water from XNUMX a.m. to XNUMX p.m.
As announced by the acting executive director of the company Vodovod i Kanalizacija Miloš Peković, during that period, work will be carried out on the connection of the main transport pipeline (Ø 350 mm), on part of its route in Boška Rašovića Street. He explains that the works entail the disconnection of the old pipeline from asbestos cement pipes, that is, the commissioning of new polyethylene (PE) pipes.
Peković explains that it is not about restrictions in the delivery of water, as could be heard unofficially in the past few days, but that supply interruptions are caused by necessary works on the water supply network.
"Once again, we note that there are no restrictions in water delivery, but that the water supply will be interrupted, exclusively, due to the performance of works on the replacement of the existing pipeline made of asbestos cement pipes with a new pipeline made of PE pipes. We appeal to all consumers to reduce consumption and, in this way, contribute to the stability of the system. We ask consumers for their patience and understanding and apologize for the inconvenience caused by the interruption of the water supply", announced the executive director of the Water and Sewerage Department.
He says that "in case of bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances, the works will be postponed until the next day".
