The building of the water terminal of Tivat Airport, which was built a year and a half ago at the Blato location near the threshold of runway 14 by the Public Enterprise Morsko dobro, and which manages it, was completely devastated.
The large wooden pergola at the water terminal was completely demolished and torn from the concrete base, while the prefabricated metal building of the ticket office-guard was overturned, broken and in the meantime ransacked.
This, as "Vijesti" found out, was not entirely the product of vandalism, but rather the wooden structure built by Morsko gave way and collapsed under the gusts of wind, and then probably dragged and overturned the building of the ticket office-guard, uprooting it from its foundation and tearing the installations.
Regardless of the fact that this accident at a facility officially managed by Morsko Dobro happened back in the summer, that state-owned company headed by the President of the Board of Directors Blazo Radjenovic (URA) and executive director Mladen Mikijelj (Nova), so far, has not done anything to remove the damage and bring that temporary facility to at least a visually decent, if not functional condition.
The sad picture of the failed investment in the construction and equipping of the water terminal of the Tivat airport is completed by broken benches on the concrete dock plateau, broken and neglected ornamental plants, as well as uncut grass, while instead of pompously announced speedboats and smaller yachts that were supposed to be delivered and taken over Air passengers are moored to the operational shore of the terminal by fishing boats and small vessels of the locals.
Morsko dobr did not answer the questions of "Vijesti" as to why the state enterprise allowed the water terminal of Tivat Airport, which it manages, to collapse and devastate like this, nor when Morsko dobr will rehabilitate the facility and clean up its appearance.

That company spent over 2022 euros on the construction and furnishing of this facility, before the peak summer season of 30.000, in addition to its own Plan for the use of JPMD funds for that year. Acting on the basis of the government's conclusion from May last year, Morsko dobro built a temporary water terminal facility at the Blato location, just a few tens of meters from the threshold of runway 14 of the Tivat airport, but outside the airport complex fence, in order to supposedly reduce the problems that passengers from the Tivat airport have during the road transfer from that airport to the final destinations to which they travel, and due to the catastrophically congested Adriatic highway through Tivat in the summer.
The building was built outside of what is prescribed for that location by the official Program of Temporary Buildings in the Maritime Property Zone for the period 2019-2023. year, as well as without the received urban planning and technical conditions from the Secretariat for Spatial Planning of the Municipality of Tivat, i.e. from the departmental Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism, considering that the location is included in the valid State Study of the location "Tivat Airport".
In addition, that facility was built without a foothold in the then valid JPMD Fund Utilization Plan for 2022.
JPMD, despite all that, in the end, at the Blato location, concreted the plateau that leads to the previously built concrete wall, built a ticket office and a small sanitary facility, as well as arranged and asphalted a large plateau for parking vehicles, and installed electric power infrastructure, lighting and horticulturally landscaped the entire area by planting various plants and trees.

All this was done without the formal approval of the Civil Aviation Agency of Montenegro, even though the temporary water terminal facility is located in a very sensitive area for flight safety at Tivat airport, the approach planes for landing planes on runway 14, i.e. the departure planes for taking off from runway 32 , and with some of its parts it "breaks through" the maximum height of buildings that are only allowed to be there even temporarily.
In order for the irony of what JPMD did last year at the Blato location to be complete, the "temporary water terminal" facility was built in the so-called jet blast, i.e. a zone dangerous for the retention of people and vehicles due to the impact of the exhaust of jet engines taking off from runway 14, which is clearly indicated by the warning sign that JP Morsko hastily removed after the media wrote about the facility being the so-called terminal built in a dangerous zone.

"The water terminal was the promise of the Prime Minister, and what we are getting now in Kukoljina is not the classic water terminal that Tivat Airport and Montenegro deserve, but a temporary solution that we achieved in record time. Tourists who will land at the airport and then use this terminal for further transfers, I think will have a completely different and much more beautiful and intense first experience of Boka and Montenegro and will not wait in long lines on the roads," said the Prime Minister. Dritan Abazovic who visited and inaugurated the object in question on July 6 last year in the company of the leader of the JPMD and party colleagues from the URA, the Minister of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism Ana Novaković Đurović and the then Minister of Economic Development and Tourism Goran Đurović, and the President of the Board of Directors of the Airport of Montenegro Eldin Dobardžić.
Despite Abazović's optimism that the water terminal will do a miracle to reduce road congestion from Tvat airport to the hotels in Bokelje, the facility that was built by JPMD last year, according to "Vijesti"'s unofficial information, served only a few dozen passengers during the whole of last summer and this summer.
Morski dobr did not even respond to the request to announce passenger traffic statistics via the so-called of the Tivat airport water terminal from May 1 to October 1 this year.
