The Union of Montenegrin Students in Serbia presented to the Ministers of the Government of Serbia an initiative by which a copy of the census would become an integral evidence of nationality when applying for the right to free education for students from Montenegro in Serbia.
Representatives of the Union of Students of Montenegro in Serbia met today with Frthe Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Serbia and the Minister of Defense Miloš Vučević and the Minister of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs Nikola Selaković.
Jelena Dobričanin, Vuk Orović and Marko Milačić attended the meeting in front of the Union of Montenegrin Students.
Although it is not stated in the announcement, the chief and responsible editor of the IN4S portal Gojko Raičević also attended the meeting.
Before the census, that portal launched the "Proud of your Serbian" campaign and stated that one of the first activities of the campaign is 50 billboards in Montenegro, "which will remind fellow citizens and compatriots of Serbian origin and identity".
In the press release of the Government of Serbia after the meeting, it was stated that "emphasizing that it is necessary to make additional efforts to strengthen the ties of Serbs from the region and the diaspora with Serbia, this Alliance is committed to ensuring the conditions for young people from Montenegro to receive the right to education under the same conditions as and their peers in Serbia".
"Minister Vučević expressed his satisfaction with the opportunity to meet the young people gathered in this Alliance, stressing that such discussions are the right way to find constructive solutions. Young and educated people, assessed Minister Vučević, represent the future and we should consider all ways to academic citizens have the best possible conditions during their education", according to the statement published on the website of the Ministry of Defense of Serbia.
