It is high time that the citizens of Montenegro finally get the health care system they deserve, a system based on always available quality health care, in more modern hospitals and reducing the possibility of drug shortages.
That is why, according to the Work Program of the future Government, one of the key priorities is the creation of a modern and efficient health system, "which will be available to every citizen".
"With the reform at the level of primary health care, through the introduction of a modern integrated information system, greater autonomy of medical staff, a performance-based payment system and other measures, we will enable greater accessibility and improvement in the quality of services with a holistic approach to the patient, easier movement through the system, as well as a reduction in administrative and financial burden", it is stated in the exposition of the representative Milojko Spajić.
It is also emphasized that the future Government will "dedicatedly work on the restoration and expansion of the existing infrastructure of health institutions in Cma Gora, thereby strengthening the health system, which will be ready to effectively respond to the needs of our population."
"On this plan, in addition to building a much-needed hospital according to the most modern standards in the capital city, we will improve the equipment, capacities and working conditions in health institutions throughout the country with a special focus on providing the most up-to-date medical procedures, as well as quality geriatric, palliative and overall health care," he says. are to the Work Program of the future Government.
Improving public health in Montenegro will be another priority of the future administration of the Ministry of Health.
"Improving the situation in the field of pharmacy will be achieved through measures of rationalization and more intensive control of consumption, I understand by revising the list and establishing a commodity reserve of medicines. By creating a favorable environment for the procurement and distribution of medical supplies, we will significantly reduce the possibility of occasional shortages of medicines while facilitating their physical and financial availability," the report states.
Spajić also announces that the Ministry of Health will work to make Montenegro an internationally known destination for health tourism.
"Montenegro, with its geographical position, numerous natural tourist attractions, rich cultural heritage and developed offer in the segment of rehabilitation, dentistry, aesthetic surgery and other branches of medicine, has all the conditions to become an internationally recognized health tourism destination," the report states.
Socio-economic status, training and safety of health workers, it was emphasized in the exposition, will be the focus of the future Ministry of Health.
"Adequate mapping of deficit staff with regular and fair allocation of all forms of training, allocation of financial resources for continuous education as well as more intensive establishment of bilateral cooperation with renowned medical centers in Europe and the world will make our health system more harmonized with the systems in EU member states, which actually represents the essence activities of the Ministry of Health", the exposition concludes.
