"Digitalization of the health system is achieved through cooperation with the strategic partner for the implementation of the digitalization process, UNDP, through the project 'Strengthening the health system in Montenegro', through which the following activities are implemented: Development, implementation and introduction of the system for monitoring drugs and medical devices - System Track and Trace - which will provide better drug safety through tracking the path from the distribution of drugs to the end user, tracking the taking of prescription drugs, managing the consumption of drugs in the public system, especially as a support to the decision maker in the creation of health policy; Defining, developing and implementing Electronic Health records (HER) and the adoption of standards for data exchange; Developing a platform for Telemedicine that will represent a modern way of providing health services using the latest technologies; Developing a unique platform for providing mHealth services; Analysis and development of other priority software solutions within IZIS, such as is the Information System of the Ministry of Health (ISMH) for more efficient management of the register of health institutions, personnel and equipment, donations, medical waste, administrative procedures, as well as integration with existing and future reporting systems, health-statistical information system, application on prevention in health, etc. , and the project also plans to optimize and upgrade the hardware and software infrastructure," the announcement states.
