The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) called on all participants in the protection and rescue system to raise the level of operational readiness due to the storm that is expected tomorrow in Montenegro.
From that department, they said that the Directorate for Protection and Rescue, based on the report of the Institute for Hydrometeorology and Seismology, sent a warning to all participants in the protection and rescue system and indicated the need to increase operational readiness.
The MUP explained that tomorrow a strong southwesterly flow is expected, in the second part of the day there will be heavy rain, showers and thunderstorms.
It is stated that on the territory of Montenegro, in the morning hours, stronger cloud cover is expected from the west, which will first cause rain in the southwest, then the precipitation will spread to other areas.
As it is added, more intense precipitation is expected in the second part of the day, and local weather events are also possible.
"The wind will be southerly, moderate to strong, sometimes in the higher areas in the north with gusts and storm force," stated the Ministry of Interior.
According to them, stronger waves are expected along the coast, so the sea will be rough to rough.
"As a result of the heavy rain, short-term problems with an abundant amount of water are possible locally - flashflood effects, especially in urban areas, on torrential streams and along roads that cross mountain slopes," the MUP warned.
