The National Parks of Montenegro (NPCG) reacted to the text "Negligence of Danijelo Vincek's legacy: Botanical garden without botanists", published on the independent daily "Vijesti" and Portal Vijesti.

"Taking into account the overall efforts of JPNPCG and the Management of NP Biogradska gora, which are directed towards the preservation of the Dulovine Botanical Garden in Kolašin, starting from November 2018 until today, we consider the claims made by Mrs. Zora Marjanović Vincek to be non-objective, incorrect and steering damage.
We emphasize that JPNPCG is committed to implementing all obligations and activities that have been defined By the agreement on the gift of real estate with the right to extend, and Agreement on the regulation of mutual relations, including work the hiring of Mrs. Vincek based on the work contract, an expert associate for sustainable development and two employees responsible for the maintenance of the building and the green areas of the Botanical Garden. We also point out that Ms. Vincek has been told on several occasions that every time she considers it necessary to carry out field work, she will have the support of the Biogradska gora NP Protection Service, as well as the presence of botanists from the JPNPCG Administration who regularly visit the field in this protected area.
On this occasion, we deny the claims that Ms. Vincek had to independently purchase equipment for her work. Namely, in order to ensure the functionality of this facility, since 2018, JPNPCG has invested significant funds, over 60.000 euros, in the equipment of the Botanical Garden, which also includes regulating the payment of basic needs such as the costs of using electricity, utilities, telephone. Regarding the purchase of peat blocks mentioned in the article, JPNPCG ensured their procurement and payment. Bearing in mind the above, we believe that "regret, disappointment and worry” presented by Ms. Zora Marjanović Vincek in this article, cannot be “the only thing he feels after five years‟ from the signing of the contract on the handover of the Dulovina Botanical Garden. About her "no one to ask for advice', it is really not justified to say because the Biogradska gora National Park is recognized as a responsible manager open to cooperation with all interested entities, especially with the Dulovina Botanical Garden, which represents an integral part of the natural heritage of both the national park and the entire Kolašina region.
Wanting to discuss and agree on this and all other topics of importance for the management of the Dulovina Botanical Garden in a positive tone and in the right place, we invite Mrs. Vincek to consider all problems together and come to optimal solutions for all parties involved in the work and functioning of this monument of nature", it is stated in the response.
