Five LGBTIQ organizations submitted a complaint to the director of the Directorate for Inspection Affairs (UIP) Ana Vujošević for violating the Code of Ethics for civil servants and state employees against forestry inspector Dragan Marinović.

They filed the complaint because a few days ago, in an e-mail correspondence with colleagues from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Marinović inappropriately called representatives of the Environmental Protection Agency and the organization "Animal Survival International" (ASI) "fags" and made a homophobic statement and to ASI President David Baritt.
In the complaint signed by the Association "Spektra", "Kvir Montenegro", "Juventas", the Association of LBTQ Women "Stana" and ERA - Alliance for Equal Rights of LGBTI Persons in the Western Balkans and Turkey, among other things, it is stated that Marinović violated the code and harmed UIP with a homophobic statement.
"As one of the bodies that, based on the Law on Prohibition of Discrimination... is in charge of inspection supervision over the implementation of this law in various areas of discrimination... including discrimination based on change of sex, gender identity, sexual orientation and/or intersexual characteristics", they state in the complaint.
They add that with this, Marinović "shaken the thin trust that LGBTIQ people have in the state authorities of Montenegro".
"In addition, he violated the Code of Ethics for civil servants and employees in terms of damaging the reputation of the UIP, damaging relations with partner organizations and donors who have invested significant funds for the flora and fauna of Montenegro as an ecological state," the complaint reads.
They called on the director of the UIP to investigate the case within the prescribed period of 15 days, to determine a punishment commensurate with the crimes committed and to pay attention to the fact that the punishment is a deterrent for all future possible perpetrators of similar crimes.
Organizations initiated and offered free trainings for UIP employees in relation to the human rights of LGBTIQ persons.
"In order to ensure that this damage is repaired, and the trust of the LGBTIQ community in the work of this state body begins to return, and to help prevent such cases from occurring in the future," the complaint says.
Ana Vujošević previously did not respond to the inquiry of "Vijesti" regarding the actions of Marinović.
