The leadership of the Municipality of Tivat responded to the youngest fellow citizens

The Children's Parliament, in which more than 40 primary school children from Tivat participated, was held yesterday in Tivat as part of the "November Days" event. The President of the Municipality Željko Komnenović, the President of the Municipal Assembly Miljan Marković and the Vice-President of the Municipality Jovan Brinić answered the questions of the students of the primary schools "Drago Milović" and "Branko Brinić", and the event was attended by the principals of the two schools, Slavka Mirković and Ivica Tošev.

"When will the new school be built? Were your teachers strict or lenient? Which trip and excursion do you remember? These are just some of the many questions that the children addressed to the leaders of the Tivat local government. Reminding the young "parliamentarians" of the importance of the institution of the student parliament, the president of the Tivat Student Parliament, Miljan Marković, thanked the children and teachers for their participation, instructing them on the functioning of a parliamentary session. He pointed out that children's sessions are important because at them children can freely express their opinions, their demands and problems, and that in this way they can get to know the importance of the decision-making process", the local administration of Tivat announced.

Mayor Željko Komnenović stated that he knows that their classrooms are crowded.

"We are aware of this and we are working to ensure that you get a new school building. The construction of a new school has begun in Radovići. A project is ready for the construction of the regional unit of Elementary School "Drago Milović" in Donja Lastva. Our intention is also to enter into the reconstruction of the regional unit of the school in Gradiošnica." , Komnenović presented and expressed the hope that the "wave of building new schools" will reach the city center as well.

The President of the Municipality shared with the children the best memories from his childhood and school days.

The vice president of the municipality, Jovan Brinić, participated in the work of the Children's Parliament. He wished the Children's Parliament to last.

"Our priority is what the children of Tivat need, which are playgrounds and facilities that are necessary for a healthy upbringing," said Brinić and reminded that the Municipality of Tivat finances the implementation of the "NTC learning system" project in Tivat schools and kindergartens.

After the session, a cocktail was held in the hall for all participants. The session of the Children's Parliament was broadcast live for the first time by Radio Tivat. The event was organized with the support of the Secretariat for Social Activities.
