The Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation signed a contract for the procurement of computer equipment worth over 6,3 million euros.

As announced by the Ministry, 4.575 computers, 1.133 laptops, 1.806 televisions, 516 projectors and 445 printers will be acquired and will be made available to primary and secondary schools in Montenegro.

"In this way, we create a strong basis for the digitization of the educational process and enable our young people to acquire digital skills and competencies that are necessary for the XNUMXst century," the announcement reads.

Financing of the acquisition comes from various sources, including 63 percent of loans from the European Investment Bank (EIB), 30 percent of grant funds from the Western Balkan Investment Framework (WBIF) and seven percent from the national budget.

"This investment allows us to provide more than 50 percent of the necessary computer equipment, and the 44th Government will make efforts to provide additional equipment during its mandate that will improve the quality of the educational process at all levels. We owe a great deal of gratitude to our partners from the European Investment Bank and we promise that in the next 18 weeks we will equip every primary and secondary school in Montenegro with modern computer classrooms. Our goal is to create conditions for quality education, because an extraordinary Montenegro is looking for extraordinary knowledge, and with young people who are our most valuable resource, I am sure we can achieve it excellent results", said the Minister of Education, Science and Innovation Anđela Jakšić Stojanović.
