The Mladost children's home in Bijela will have the full support of the Government and the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, said the relevant minister Naida Nišić, stating that they will work together to strengthen the staffing capacity in that institution.
As announced by the Government, Nišić and the Deputy Prime Minister for Demography and Youth and the Minister of Sports and Youth, Dragoslav Šćekić, visited the Mladost Children's Home today.
Nišić pointed out that she appreciates the great dedication of the staff and the great efforts they make in working with residents.
"The House will have the full support of the Ministry and the Government of Montenegro in the coming period. With joint efforts, we will work on strengthening the personnel capacities in the institution, improving their position in order to provide services to the beneficiaries in the best possible way", said Nišić.
She pointed out that the Home in Bijela plans to develop a Center for foster care, which is foreseen in the transformation plan, and which is already being worked on with the support of the Ministry.
Šćekić said that it is necessary to show special care for those who need it the most and emphasized that society must have a special sensitivity and empathy towards vulnerable categories of society, among which, of course, are the users of the Home.
"Today's visit is one of the ways to point out where attention is most needed. I am ready to give full support to the minister Nišić for solving all the problems faced by the House as an institution", said Šćekić.
He added that he wants to help find ways to prevent the outflow of staff from the House, which is a current problem.
The director of the Home, Marela Savić, as reported, introduced Šćekić and Nišić to the spatial and accommodation capacities of the Home.
She pointed out that in the last few years extensive works have been undertaken to renovate the rooms where the children stay.
As she said, the children in the Home stay in family groups, of which there are a total of eight and distributed according to gender and age.
Savić added that in 2019, a small group community of children with developmental disabilities in Bijelo Polje was added to that institution.
The government said that Šćekić and Nišić handed the users appropriate gifts, with the wish that they complete their stay in the Home with games and socializing.
