The rehabilitation of the Sokolovina landslide will solve one of the long-standing problems on that section of the road Mojkovac - Đurđevića Tara, said the Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs Filip Radulović, stating that the works will be completed by October next year.
The Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs announced that the rehabilitation of the Sokolovina landslide has begun and that the works were visited by Radulović, the Director of the Traffic Administration Radomir Vuksanović and the President of the Municipality of Mojkovac Vesko Delić.
"With the realization of that project, one of the long-standing problems on that section of the road will be solved. The value of the project is 10,6 million euros, and the works will be completed by October next year," said Radulović.
Vuksanović said that it is a significant project, not only for the municipality of Mojkovac, but also for the part that gravitates towards Đurđevića Tara and Pljevlja.
"It is a very important road for tourism, and it involves the rehabilitation of an unstable slope and the construction of a gallery with a length of some 400 meters," said Vuksanović.
Delić said that the Municipality of Mojkovac is an important traffic hub and that numerous projects are in the process of being implemented.
"We hope that at the beginning of the year we will have activities related to the project on the bridge, which is part of the regional road to Berane, and leads to the development project, the Žarski ski resort in Mojkovac, on our side of Bjelasica, as well as the works on the gallery in Sokolovina, which is very important the project of the Traffic Administration and the investor who took over the work on the project itself,'' stated Delić.
Radulović, as announced by the Ministry, also visited the construction works of the Mojkovac - Lubnice regional road, the Mojkovac - Vragodo section, as well as the works aimed at rehabilitating the Gojakovići landslide on the Mojkovac-Đurđevića Tara road.
