The focus of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation will be on further strengthening the education system, as well as on its reform at all levels, said minister Anđela Jakšić Stojanović.
As announced by the Ministry, Stojanović met with the Ambassador of France to Montenegro, Anne-Marie Maske.
According to their words, Jakšić Stojanović and Maske assessed that the meeting represents a step towards deepening bilateral relations in the field of education, science and innovation between Montenegro and France, opening new perspectives for joint progress and prosperity.
"Jakšić Stojanović emphasized the key role of education in the policy of the Government of Montenegro, stressing that the focus of her department will be on further strengthening the education system, as well as its reform at all levels," the announcement says.
As it is added, she announced the application for funds from European funds in order to speed up and successfully complete the process of reconstruction of the educational infrastructure in the country, as well as Montenegro's openness to donor funds and support from the funds of the governments of other countries and international sources.
They also discussed the opening of new opportunities for learning the French language at all ages, especially for preschool, primary and secondary education,
"As well as the potential exchange of students through academic support programs, which, as assessed, will further strengthen the cultural and educational ties between the two friendly countries," the statement added.
Special emphasis was placed on the successful cooperation between the two countries in the field of science and innovation, where the example of the development of the Center for Cyber Security was highlighted as a positive step forward in joint efforts to improve that area.
"The harmonization and finalization of the Agreement on bilateral scientific and technological cooperation between the Government of Montenegro and the Government of the Republic of France, as well as the future cooperation of the academic and business communities of the two countries, through the upcoming functioning of the first Science and Technology Park in Podgorica, was considered particularly important," they said from Ministries.
As they said, Maske expressed her satisfaction with the results achieved by the Ministry in a relatively short period of time, pointing to the successful dynamics of work.
