The Directorate for Protection and Rescue of the Ministry of the Interior announced that "a lot of rain is expected again" on Thursday and Saturday.
"Based on reports and warnings from the Institute for Hydrometeorology and Seismology of Montenegro, a series of frontal waves continues over our area on Friday and Saturday (November 24 and 25.11), so a lot of rain is expected again. On Friday evening and Saturday morning or in the afternoon, and in the north during Saturday and moderate to heavy snow, with the formation of a snow cover (30 to 50 cm of snow may fall in some places), which will partially spread to the central and higher mountain areas in the south from the middle of the day," the statement said.
They add that on Saturday there will be a moderate to strong south and southeast wind, while on Sunday an increased and strong, gusty and very strong north wind is expected, so snowstorms are also possible in the northern regions.
They said that a stronger cooling is expected on Saturday, "so in most areas the morning air temperature will be the highest of the day".
"This meteorological situation can seriously interfere with everyday regular activities. The Directorate for Protection and Rescue of the MUP sent a warning to all participants in the protection and rescue system and indicated the need to increase operational readiness," it concludes.
