The Center for Civic Education (CGO) announced that even after almost a month, RTCG Ombudsperson Danijela Popović did not respond to the three objections sent by that NGO on November 9, which concern the ignoring of parts of the European Commission Report and the European Parliament Resolution on illegal appointment Boris Raonic for general director by the Television of Montenegro and the RTCG portal.

"By concealing information from these important international documents, the RTCG violates the principle of transparency and calls into question its professional credibility. Bearing in mind the importance of the recommendations from both documents for the European integration process of Montenegro and how binding they are, it is clear that the RTCG had no basis in public interest to hide this information from the public, it was announced from CGO.

They add that this type of reporting violated the Rulebook on program principles and professional standards of RTCG, i.e. guideline 1.2 (Accuracy) of the Code of Journalists of Montenegro: "...Journalists must strive to provide complete reports on events and must not keep silent or suppress essential information".

"We note that the CGO is still waiting for answers to the requests for free access to information related to salaries and wages of management, as well as official trips. The RTCG is obliged to deliver those answers in accordance with the decisions of the Agency for the Protection of Personal Data and Free Access to Information adopted by the CGO appeals", says the announcement of the CGE.
