The Center for Civic Education (CGO) assessed that the non-election of the undisputed best candidate Andrijana Kadija and the election of Vladimir Otašević as acting director of RTV Podgorica is "a reflection of the state of consciousness of the new majority in Podgorica and the new Council of this media".
On December 12, Otašević was elected acting director of RTV Podgorica (City TV). According to unofficial information from Vijesti, four out of five members of the Gradska TV Council voted for him.
"It is disastrous when one political influence on the local public service is replaced by another, just as it is dangerous that the illegalities we witness on RTCG are now reflected on the local public broadcaster of the Capital City. Instead of the promised essential changes, we got the replacement of actors and old bad practices This is proven by the new election of the acting director of RTV Podgorica, i.e. the fact that political-clerical-clientelistic relations prevailed over objective decision-making. The CGE appreciates that the non-election of the undisputed best candidate Andrijana Kadija and the election of Vladimir Otašević as acting director of RTV Podgorica, which is also legally controversial , is a reflection of the state of consciousness of the new majority in Podgorica and the new Council of this media," announced the CGE.
They add that it is not surprising "that the decision of the Council of RTCG to close the session of the RTV Podgorica Council to the public and that representatives of NGOs in that body vote for it" is not surprising.
"It's only surprising that someone still thinks that the darkness in which such decisions are made will hide their actors or the harmfulness of those decisions to the public interest," the CGO announced.
Members of the Council of RTV Podgorica are Tatjana Novović, in front of the University of Montenegro, Vesna Radulović, in front of the Union of Employers of Montenegro, Zoran Rakočević, in front of the NGO sector, Aleksandar Đurišić, in front of the Bar Association and Tatjana Džudović, in front of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Montenegro.
